This is Me

This is Me

I’ve been working on the publication of Vision to Decision – by a real, New York addressed publishing company – since early this year.  All through the process I’ve been waiting for the other shoe to drop, for the publisher to send a bill or go out of business or just change their mind.  None of that happened.  My book, self-published several years ago to no notice, is now validated.  I should be happy, and I am, but I might have stopped worrying sooner.  I recently found this New York Times article and recognized my mistake.

If you find yourself worrying about your success, try this.

Notice That Worrying Will Steal Your Joy

Worrying about possible outcomes does not help and takes the joy out of the moment.

Stop writing off hard work as ‘luck’

Don’t play down your accomplishments.  If you’ve taken just the first baby steps to starting a business (such as buying my book) you’ve done more than most.  Be proud.

Remind yourself that a happy life is a balanced life

This is a theme in my book.

Focus on your values, not your goals

Also, a strong theme in my book

So, if you find yourself worrying about things you can’t predict or control, buy my book, now available through the small business and entrepreneurship library at Business Express Press.

None of my worries came true and yours won’t either.
